Bartlett Woods and the world in general have undergone quite a few changes and endured a roller coaster of events over the past couple of years. Through it all, Jesus has been and will always be with us. Even in the most uncertain, most challenging times, he not only loves us but is present with us. He assured his disciples in Matthew 28:20, “behold, I am with you always”. This was given in respect to the commission to take the Gospel to the world. His presence with us should not only comfort but convict us since he expects us to carry on the mission with him by our side. It begs the question for the Christian: would my life look any different if I truly believed that Jesus was right there with me in all things? Here’s the truth: he is. Always.

IN THE BODY: Any theme on how Jesus is with us always would perhaps be lacking without pointing out the fact that he works powerfully today through his body, the Church. Each of us, as Christians, is a “little Christ”. Just as he has borne our burdens, given all he has to us, and admonished us with his divine wisdom, so we too bear each other’s burdens, give to one another, and build one another through teaching, admonishing, and accountability.
